Great system management. When we first took over this long-time local business, previous owners did most reports or tracking by hand (ie hand-written invoices entered into QB and hand-written price books) WWS5 helps us keep track of items in inventory, current prices and mark-ups for inventory, general price increases from vendors, EOD reports and sales, and AR accounts much more easily. We do not currently use the accounting portion, but hope to move over to the accounting option with the new data set.

Windward System Five - I would recommend this program. Windward System Five is an easy to use program that allows people who have little experience to use it.

We use multi-currency as we purchase in USD and receive (land) in CAD. The fact that we can receive different charges in different currencies per order is great. Example- we purchase the goods in USD and pay for freight in USD. But we pay for duties and local costs (EXTRA) in CAD. One can also set your currency based on your purchased USD. We do forward purchasing of USD.

Departments can be used for multiple uses. In our case, we use the departments as separately incorporated companies and it works very well. We also use one of the departments as a separate offsite location warehouse. You can also use them for actual divisions of one company.

Departments are very well set up if you have multiple locations and you want to see the inventory levels and transaction history or place purchase orders for each location separately.

We have 2 locations for most items. (3 for some) Display plus stock. AIC looks at the locations and tells us where a particular order is. ie Are we pulling the merchandise from stock or display. Then when it tells us where to put the stock when it is replenished. Put one on display (if needed) and the rest on the shelf. In addition, when we get price changes, I only print labels for items that are on display. If it is not on display, it doesn't get a label. Plus it tells my people where to look for find the item on the showroom floor.

Windward and You. The tutorial. We have solved issues with double ordering Special Orders, have streamlined Purchase Orders, Receiving, Price Changes, Showroom tag printing. I am able to compile reports simply, where it use to take days. Taking inventory is so much faster using data collectors and being able to import the files.

Windward System Five. With Windward we are able to use the reports to budget for the future, look at our sales history per customer, get customer reports that we need.

Windward keeps us on track every day. It's a great system and helps keep our inventory, estimates, sales and receipts organized
